I believe in developing strong foundational skills from the outset to give the student a well-rounded education and the ability to learn with greater independence and self-motivation as they progress.
Exam preparation is offered to those who would like to go down that path. Annual performance opportunities are also provided in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Located in Anstead in Brisbane's south-west, my home studio is the place to be to start your child on their musical journey. I am within 10 minutes drive of neighbouring suburbs Bellbowrie, Moggill, Mt Crosby, Karana Downs, Pullenvale, Pinjarra Hills, Brookfield, Kenmore and Kenmore Hills.
I am also currently employed as a piano teacher in the Lower Primary at St Peters Lutheran College, Indooroopilly.
Over the years I have written many arrangements of popular songs, initially for my work as a performing harpist at weddings and other private functions. I now have an extensive catalogue for piano and harp solo, plus a smaller collection for flute and piano, flute duet, violin and piano and violin duet. My harp covers and piano covers are especially popular!
Most pieces have been arranged with the student in mind, ranging in difficultly from beginner to late intermediate. I use some of these in my studio and am always adding to the collection. There are even a couple of originals in there!
